The Gateway Regional Arts Center Launches “Arts for All” Pricing Model to Make The Arts Accessible to Everyone

The Gateway Regional Arts Center is proud to announce the launch of its innovative Arts for All Pricing Model, a new approach designed to ensure that arts education and cultural events are accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances. This flexible, equitable model gives participants the ability to self-select their payment level based on household income, making the arts more inclusive while ensuring the sustainability of programs and events.

The Arts for All Pricing Model is grounded in the belief that financial hardship should never be a barrier to participation in the arts. By offering a range of pricing options, the program ensures that individuals from all economic backgrounds can engage with creative education, while still supporting the operational needs of The Gateway Regional Arts Center.

Key Pricing Levels:

  • Scholarship Level: Provides reduced pricing for those who qualify, making the programs affordable for those facing financial challenges.

  • Full Tuition: Covers the full cost of the program, including materials, instructor fees, and operational expenses, while also providing a small profit for The Gateway Regional Arts Center to maintain financial stability.

  • Supporter Level: For those who wish to contribute beyond the full tuition amount, helping to subsidize scholarships and support the sustainability of the program. This level covers 90% of essential materials and instructor costs.

Key Principles of the Arts for All Pricing Model:

  • Flexible Payment Choices: Participants select a price point that aligns with their financial situation at the time of registration. This flexibility allows for adjustments based on temporary financial challenges such as unexpected expenses or unemployment.

  • Accessibility with Shared Responsibility: Every participant is asked to contribute at least a nominal fee, starting at $5, ensuring that the program maintains perceived value while remaining operationally sustainable.

  • Equity Framework: Pricing is based on the Federal Poverty Level, updated annually, and adjusted for household size, ensuring that individuals from all income levels are included, while maintaining fairness.

Why Arts for All Pricing?

The Arts for All Pricing Model is designed to break down the financial barriers that often limit access to arts education and cultural experiences. By creating a structure that balances affordability with operational needs, the model demonstrates The Gateway Regional Art Center’s unwavering commitment to equity, inclusion, and community support.

“Making the arts accessible is at the heart of our mission,” said Jordan Campbell, Executive Director of GRAC. “This new pricing model reflects our belief that the arts should be for everyone—no matter their financial circumstances. We’re proud to offer a sustainable solution that removes barriers and ensures all community members can engage in the enriching experiences the arts provide.”

The Arts for All Pricing Model is now available for select programs and events at GRAC. Participants are encouraged to register early to select the payment level that best fits their current financial situation.
