Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Day of Service

Join us for a meaningful day of service and celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. Help pack food boxes for those in need, enjoy a free pottery or cooking class, participate in art activities and community readers’ theatre, and be inspired by a powerful speech from Valerie Scott, reflecting on Dr. King’s vision for justice and unity.

Don't miss the opening of the Out of the Ashes Gallery, showcasing the rich history of the DuBois Community Center and School, as well as the incredible contributions of Black artists and historic business owners in Montgomery County.

This event is a celebration of community, education, creativity, and the spirit of giving back—honoring civil rights leaders and local heroes who continue to inspire change.
