About: Angela Stephens is an acrylic artist in Berea, KY, where she lives with her husband and two Yorkie pups. She was raised in east TN and graduated from Berea College in 2005. Angela works for a local nonprofit, and feels a deep connection to its mission serving the people and communities of Appalachia. Angela began painting in April 2021, and focuses most of her work on capturing the color and detail of a variety of rural landscape scenes. Though mostly self-taught, she completed one summer painting course in 2022 at Lexington’s UK School of Art and Visual Studies. Angela’s work has been included in several Berea Arts Council exhibits, and she has been a Pop-Up Artist at the Berea Arts Council and at The Taleless Dog Bookstore’s studio space in Berea. Her acrylic painting Appalachian Wonder was selected for the Fall 2023 Team Kentucky Gallery exhibit on display at the Capitol Building in Frankfort July-Dec 2023.
